Joseph Starr
A proud North Carolina native, Joseph Starr was born and raised in the rural town of Dallas, NC, where he grew up in a large, close-knit family that instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and service to others. As the first in his family to graduate from a four-year college and earn a professional degree, Joseph understands the transformative power of education and opportunity.
Joseph earned his undergraduate degree from North Carolina Central University and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University’s Cooley Law School. During law school, he discovered a deep calling to practice immigration law—a field where he could give a voice to the voiceless and help others build the kind of future his own family had worked so hard to achieve.
With a strong belief that America’s strength lies in its identity as a nation of immigrants, Joseph has dedicated his career to guiding clients through the complex immigration system with compassion and determination. He has successfully represented clients in numerous bond hearings, asylum trials, and adjustment of status proceedings. His work has led to countless individuals securing work authorization, permanent residency (green cards), and U.S. citizenship.
Joseph’s clients know him not only for his legal acumen but also for his genuine commitment to their stories and success. He sees each case as more than a file—it’s a family, a future, and a piece of what continues to make America great.
